What are the qualifications for higher rate DLA? I can't walk very far, less than 200yds unaided. Would I qualify?
There is no specific distance used for the Higher Rate of Mobility, however, it is generally accepted that a distance of about 50m should be considered, but this cannot be done in isolation, matters such as the time it takes, your gait, whether you stop, and most importantly whether you are in significant discomfort must also be taken into account.
Have a look at the DLA guides for a more detailed explanation.
