This is a bit strange!

It should be pointed out that JC+ sent me the ESA50 and it was also returned to them, for attn of the IBR team there. When I questioned them that the ESA50 should be sent to ATOS, they said that they forward it on.
Presumably, a decision cannot be made without ATOS first seeing the ESA50?
I'm a wee bit concerned as I don't put the DWP past dirty tricks.
ATOS told me to ring the JC+, which are closed till 27th now.
Any thoughts?

Hi st,
I remember discussing this with you.
It is highly possible that ATOS may be based in the same office as the IBR Team, further a lot of these return addresses are no more than mail distribution centres.
I can't recall whether you have proof of delivery, if so then that is a plus. My best advice would be to send an e-mail to ATOS, reiterating your concerns, attach a scanned copy of the proof of posting and delivery if you have them. At least then you have written proof that you have raised your concerns.
Type up a letter of the same content, and put copies of the proof of posting/delivery in and post that off recorded delivery, ASAP after Xmas.
I have just had the scenario that you have recounted, in that the ATOS address on the return envelope was that of the BDC dealing with a friend that I was helping. It turns out that it is a mail distribution centre, and they have forwarded the ESA50 on to ATOS.
That was at the end of September, all was O.K. and they were placed into the SG, without a face to face, from the end of November.
You are right to be concerned, especially with the Xmas post.
Hope all works out well for you, keep us updated.
Have a good Xmas and NY.

What I can't understand is why ATOS have no record of it, Is it because they haven't been involved yet? And would ATOS likely have details on their system should a f to f be required at some stage?

Hi st,
I admit is does seem strange.
The DWP refer you to ATOS, who then send out the ESA50.(therefore one would assume that ATOS would have a "Live Referral" with respect to yourself)
There do seem to be many anomalies, and they seem to be changing their operating systems Ad-hoc.
I cannot really offer any more helpful advice, you could mention in your E-mail/letter that you have copies of the ESA50/extra evidence ready to go, if that is the case. I can't remember whether you used the PDF ESA50, if you did, then you should have a post ready copy.
