Thanks, Bro58 & Gordon for your replys, always good to hear another opinion on what I think etc as many good point and ideas come from many minds
Bro58, have taken your idea of making an index related letter starting from my first problem and as I now have my medical records from gp, I can at least form some sort of resume over a given period of the problems showing the path to present.
When I start writing I intend to do to much of itwill do a draft then edit to final, will be sure to link to descriptors as and when possible.
As you say its now or never at the GL24 stage, so who knows what will come out of it ...
Gordon.
As yet I do not know where I did or did not score points ... so, I am just sticking to what descriptors I believe apply to my case and submit enough medical reports + the above letter to see if this will help my appeal.
At least I will have the appeal lodged in place, just one more to there pile of ever increasing appeal mountain
Thanks both again, Regards, Derek
Hi Dq,
It looks like you are approaching it in a factual and correct manner.
Basically, while keeping it as concise as possible, you need to lay it out in a clear and understandible format, to make it as easy as possible for the reviewing DM to understand your points of appeal.

As I am sending some medical documents with my GL24 + covering letter ... should I at this point ask for an Oral hearing ?
I am living in hope that at reconsideration the origional decision may be changed, reason I am not sure about asking for a oral hearing is that it sounds as if I am already expecting to be turned down for a change in decision.
Any thoughts on this.

Hi Dq,
It is quite normal at this stage to state whether you would want an oral hearing or a paper hearing.
Don't forget that if the adverse decision is not changed in your favour at the automatic reconsideration stage, it will then be sent forward to The Appeals Tribunal Service wihout you having to instigate it further.
Appeals Tribunal Hearing success rates are greater where an oral hearing takes place rather than a paper one.

Well, the little "reason" box on the GL24 has suddenly grown some what, thanks for the info about asking for an oral hearing, will be sure to include in my covering letter.
I am covered in paper with endless notes on it

Hi Dq,
It can seem that way, it's known as CESAS, Chronic ESA Syndrome.

As previosly stated, it seems like you are approacing it in the best fashion.

Can you tell me is the well known condition "CESAS" is it treatable, my GP looked it up in his secret book, he said, ah yes, all you need is six numbers + the bonus number.
So when I feft the surgery I let his car tyres down

Trouble is it would NOT make me well again, just can not put a price on Good Health, can you !!!
Fun bit over with ...
Getting back to the dear old GL24, got just about all I can put down on paper long hand, wish I had a word processor !!!
Are they lightly to reject a GL24 if I do not fill in all boxes ? ... Box 3, about your Rep, what rep, I have put "information will be provided later" if I ever get a rep and in Box 4 have put "ESA WRAG" do you think this will do ?
Regards, Derek
Did not want to leave totally blank as not sure if they may reject the GL24
