The claimant no longer has the option to state that s/he cannot mobilise as far as 50 metres. This information can be included in a detailed reply across several sheets of A4 but the opportunity to make an immediate statement that one cannot mobilise 50 metres or 20 metres is absent.

I particularly like the idea of using one tick box to represent four different options

Hi MW,
You would need to go into detail regarding the distance that you could mobilise in the box below the options.
"Use this space to tell us how far you
can move and why you might have
to stop. If it varies, tell us how.
Tell us if you usually use a walking
stick, crutches, a wheelchair or
anything else to help you, and tell us
how it affects the way you move
around."
You could then continue on a seperate A4 if necessary.
20 Metres was never, and is still not pertinent to ESA mobilising. That is the newest ammendment with respect to PIP, mobility activity.
Of course, if one can only mobilise 20 Metres or less, they should make it clear, especially taking into account that ESA awards and reports are being used to assess DLA awards, and may also be used with any future PIP assessments.
