I know I should have probably complained soon after the interview - but I was so scared, anxious and frankly terrified of the power they hold over my future - both financially and my health. I wondered if the whole Job Center would be against me in the future if they knew I had complained about one of their colleagues.
I never used to be a person who would back down from something like this - but I don't have the energy to fight anymore.
I will re-read all you advise over the next few days, to see if I can sum up the strength to tackle this.
I was told that my appeal had failed the DWP decision maker, and was scheduled for Tribunal. I did sign a letter that agreed to the cancellation of the Tribunal - so maybe I have sealed my fate with that?

Thanks again.

Hi W,

Just to balance thing out here, several members have posted very positive comments regarding their JCP Advisers, in one instance the JCP A, gave advice and feed back that helped the member gain access to The SG.

So they are not all bad, it seems that you have met a very "Bad Apple" here, and in my opinion they need reporting, to stop them acting the same with other people.

Of course, that is upto you. :)

In any future interviews, it may be advisable to covertly record the conversation, this is perfectly legal.

Thank you bro58, that is very comforting - and I did not want to frighten others who are called to the interviews.
Yes, I have decided, I will report her. That is what's needed.

Thank again

You may be helping others who have the misfortune to come across this person. They may have something other than FM, but she could still do the "I manage to work and so you can too," trick on them.

If she is cynically manipulating people into withdrawing their appeals, then she needs stopping before she brags to others of the success of her methods.

Good luck!

I too had an advisor who told me I had no chance on winning my appeal to move from WRAG to SG but I did win at the reconsideration stage with the help of my doctor and local MP. My advisor also had a disabled husband and spent most of the time telling me how this affected her!!!
Just keep on with your appeal as no-one knows your true circumstances except you. I would certainly report her and even mention this to your MP.

Good luck

Maybe this is the latest tactic !!!

Telling claimants that they also suffer with the same illness, or a friend or relative does, and "They manage to work"

That's highly likely.
I used to have a 'social worker' who repeatedly told me 'you don't have to have XYZ to have difficulties in moving', this went on until I asked if she'd actually got a letter of diagnosis that 'she had got it' and that I'd like to see said letter............. then miraculously, she stopped doing it.
