New ESA50 q1 was created by Dorothysmummy
The new esa50 form states the following
‘To answer yes to any of the following questions you must be able to do the activity safely to an acceptable standard as often as you need to and in a reasonable length of time’
Please tick this box if you can move around and use steps without difficulty.
How far can you move safely and repeatedly on level ground without needing to stop?
50 metres
100
200
it varies
My question is what do you tick if you cannot for the majority of the time move around safely and repeatedly without needing to stop for 50 metres as there does not seem to be this option? I would be inclined to tick it varies but to me this implies it varies between 50, 100 and 200?
Any opinions would be much appreciated.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You do not have to tick the boxes if none of them fit your circumstances. If neccessary, leave the tick boxes open and explain your limitations in the accompanying text box.

Thanks Mrshurtyback. It makes me feel uncomfortable ticking any inappropriate box. I feel ticking any 'metre' box is now signing to say:
I can move x metres safely, reliably and repeatedly as many times as I need to.

Hi cowl79
There is absolutly NO reason why you should feel "uncomfortable" ticking any box, you must realise that when dealing with atos/dwp you are NOT playing on a level pitch so to speak.
This is only my take on the whole matter of the very clever way and use of wording in the esa50, I think most will agree with me.
All I can say is this.
If for the majority of the time you are unable to do any of the activitys described using there phrases which you have already highlighted on the esa50 then that is your answer ... NO, if you are wavering and thinking about "it veries" it leaves it open to how atos/dwp want to read it.
Regards, Derek
