GP finder re atos

Hiya,
Sorry to be a nuisance but I cannot locate where to find out whether or not a GP /Consultant is working under ATOS etc.
I seem to remember there is somewhere where one can see if a nurse or GP is actually registered and doing so, think it was highlighted some time back.
Useless me cannot find it.

Hi, PCM,

A Doctor must be registered with The GMC to work for ATOS, and a Nurse or Midwife must be registered with The Nursing and Midwifery Council, (NMC) to do the same.

However, I do not think that it would tell you whether they do work for ATOS on either register.

Nor am I sure that there is any type of register that would inform you if an HCP was working for ATOS.

Hi again PCM,

The registers in my previous post are handy for checking whether an ATOS HCP is registered once you know their name etc, and you could make a complaint via the different sites regarding a registered HCP.

One avenue open to you may be to make a Freedom of Information Request to a Hospital or PCT that the HCP may be working for under The NHS.

Another option, search the G.P./Consultant on the internet, sometimes on their profiles it states what other private work that they do, outside The NHS.
