ESA Review Date and Medical

After completing another esa form as my review date is imminent, do ATOS/DWP have to legally wait until the claimants review date has passed until they decide whether or not to send you an appointment letter to attend another medical ?

ESA is an open-ended benefit, the review date is only a recommendation. For this reason, DWP can reassess any time they like with no reference to the recommendation.

Don't worry, you will continue to receive the same level of benefits as you have been, until a decision is made as a result of your current reassessment.

This reassessment process may or may not include you having to attend for a face to face assessment.
