Hi, can anyone tell me what the average timescale for esa claim? I'm currently being transferred from incapacity benefit to esa I sent the esa50 in 4 weeks ago and haven't yet heard anything from atos or dwp
can anyone advise thanks

The average is probably around four months but can be as long as 6-7 months in some case.

Hi Mrs HB,

A friends has been waiting about three months. Would a phone call to ATOS tell her whether they had her ESA50 or whether it had been sent to the DWP?

Yes, if it has been sent to the DWP then the likely result is a WRAG or Support Group placement.
