Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with walking due to the severity of the pain in my feet and not being able to weight bear, I can not stand to make a meal safely, I can not hold a cup safely, I can not get in and out of the bath without help, I can not prep a meal at all now due to arthritis in both hands, I need help with cutting up my food as the joints in my thumbs are to painful to be able to do so, which was not so much of an issue when I first applied for pip in 2023, but have deteriorated so much and I am afraid to inform pip for if they decide to stop my award, I was initially scored zero on both elements upon appeal was awarded high rates on both, I also struggle with incontinence, which not being able to get out of bed quick enough due to feet issues I leak through large pads on the bed, my daughters change my bed every day, I do have a bath lift to get in and out of bath but I need help getting on and off it, I now need help dressing and undressing due to severe pain in both my hands, the highest score I got for one descriptor was 3 |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose over a thousand pounds every 4 week including pip, and housing benefit, I would not be able to live on just my pension, I am nit able to work as am retired and to ill to be able to do so, I would not be able to purchase incontinence pads, which I have to buy as the amount tye nhs allow is not enough to last the 3 months they are meant to last, I would not ge able to pay anyone to help with meals and cleaning and shopping, I would be in severe poverty. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I am a state pensioner so this does not apply to me,, but because I have full national insurance contributions 1 can't claim pension credit. |
Anything else to tell us: Over £500 of my £880 every 4 weeks goes on rent leaving me with £380 every 4 weeks for gas, electricity., water rates and food. I would not be able to pay for any help for my daily living at all if my pip stopped |
