Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: My whole body is affected. I struggle with washing myself and my hair, cleaning myself after going to the toilet, getting dressed and undressed, making meals. Pain, stiffness and fatigue and side effects of medication make everyday tasks difficult and take a long time. I have to pace all my activities. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose the Daily Living Component of PIP. I get £110.40 a week. I live alone and have no family. Without PIP I wouldn't be able to afford to pay for care and help when I need it, and buy equipment that I need to help me. I would struggle to pay heating bills as as I have to keep warm. I wouldn't be able to afford to pay for treatments that help me. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I am a pensioner so this is not relevant |
Anything else to tell us: I feel really scared at the possibility of losing PIP. I have no idea how I could cope on my own without it as it provides a lifeline to pay for essential things that I need for my care and my safety. |
