| Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: My thoughts are controlled by my voices and I am on a lot of medication. So am drugged up and lethargic. I find it difficult to motivate myself to get dressed or shower. I also think the devil is in the water so need someone to calm me and talk to me while I shower. Am not safe in the kitchen around sharp objects and have tried to put a knife through my hand. Also think the cooker will blow up. Therefore need to be supervised for my own safety Don't go out or socialise as I don't. Trust people and get paranoid. I always have someone to support me for appointments. I. Also need help with complex forms as my confused brain doesn't take Imformation in. I also struggle with financess and need lots of help to pay and sort bills out. I need to be supported to take my medication as I think I don't need it and that would be dangerous to my mental health. |
| Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would loose my enhanced care on pip and my health element on UC. I would not be able to pay my bills or eat. Would have a choice of eating or heating. This would under any circumstances make my mental health any better. I am so scared of things to come. |
| Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Because of my voices I would never be able to work. Voices control my thinking and don't hear what people are telling me. Also have episodes of dissacotiation and can't hear or see for a number of seconds. Also don't trust people and get paranoid. No one would employ me I would be a danger to myself and other people. |
| Anything else to tell us: I think what this government is proposing to do is sadistic and cruel to the most vulnerable people in society. They know that a lot of people will not get 4 points in one discripter and will loose a lot of money. No employer will take anyone on with so many problems. This is all about saving money even if they deny it. I don't know where all these jobs are coming from to get us into work. The numbers do not add up. Shame on them all.!!! |
