Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Not Likely. I only score 2's in most categories. |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Cooking, going to the toilet, shopping. Getting around. Socialising |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: By my calculations, I would lose £549 a month PiP payment. The loss of PiP would lead to the loss of the SDP premium on Pension Credits which would see me losing another £320 a month. So, per annum I would lose £10,428. This would be devastating for my finances. I would be impoverished. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I'm 73. I'm retired. I'm disabled. |
Anything else to tell us: The government rhetoric seems to be focused on getting people back to work in justifying these cuts. Are the government seriously trying to force disabled pensioners into the work force? These cuts will devastate everyone but, I don't see anyone in the media talking about how many pensioners will be affected by theses cuts. |
