Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle to do most tasks including showering myself, cooking and cleaning for myself and even looking after my 8 yr old child. I am on oxygen 24/7 even then everything I do makes me breathless and my heart rate rise to unsafe levels |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: Without my benefits to help me I would not be able to survive based on the extra costs I incur every week just from being disabled |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: How could I work anywhere can you imagine an employer having to risk assess someone on oxygen? Let alone pay for the electric for my concentrator. I’m also totally unreliable as would be phoning in sick most of the time as I’m regularly in and out of hospital. Working now would kill me, the stress would worsen my conditions ten fold |
