4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Probably NOT very likely if my next assessor is anything like my last one who lied extensively after my face to face! Said she had examined me on a table. I did not even go on a tsble and kept my ankle length duvet coat on the whole time so how she said she had examined my legs is a total mystery! |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: My hands are numb so I constantly drop things. I am not safe around knives, hot ovens or hot food. I cannot cut things up. My husband does all the cooking and prep and cuts up my meals. I have a dropped foot and one numb leg so constantly fall over. I cannot even make a hot drink via a kettle so I have a hot water dispenser where I put a tea bag/instant coffee into a cup to make a hot drink. My MS also makes me extremely cold so I use my PIP to pay to keep me warm, mostly, especially since I lost my Winter Fuel Payment. If my husband wasn’t around I would have to use my PIP for meals on wheels! |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: The loss of my monthly £549 would be devastating to me. At almost 70 with MS I cannot increase my income. Who would want to employ someone who falls over all the time, is perpetually cold and cannot use their hands properly? As someone with MS I am automatically deemed as disabled so why I have to keep proving it is nauseating! |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: As above. I am almost 70 with MS! |
Anything else to tell us: This is merely a cost cutting exercise. I did work when I was on PIP when younger and the car I had enabled me to get to work. Then I was reassessed and they took my car away in 2018! If they want the disabled to work then PIP is an access to work benefit in itself. Are they all stupid in the Labour Government!. |
