| Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: washing and dressing. I get so exhausted i sometimes don't bother and stay in all day. I cant properly wash above or below the waist or in a normal timescale. I struggle to get in and out of the shower and again usually don't bother because of the problems this causes. I need someone to help me to get in and out of the shower and watch me in case I slip and fall. I need someone to prompt me to carry out these tasks and to physically help to wash. |
| Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: £440. I would not be able to run my car or pay for home maintenance. gardening, decorating cleaning etc. my independence would greatly suffer and i would end up stuck in a house that would very quickly turn into a dirty hovel. |
| Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I was basically pushed out of my job as a manager because i could no longer manage my duties. I doubt that any employer would consider me for employment or invest in me due to my medical problems and the fact that I am two years from retirement. |
| Anything else to tell us: i think that it is grossly unfair that this is happening to legitimate disabled people, the majority who have paid taxes and national insurance to the government coffers in the past. I cannot understand why a labour government would steal from the poor and look after the rich. Why dont they do as the promised in their manifesto and stop the illegal immigrants who are the ones who are plundering the system. |
