Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I'm struggling each day with chronic pain which affects my movement (walking, standing, sitting and the excercises I try to do daily for my arthritis). Increasing struggles with showering and washing my hair (can't reach up or bend down). Since having to have a hysterectomy 15 years ago I have increasingly suffered a weakening bladder and problems with pain and mobility mean I suffer 'accidents' several times a day. If I leave my house, which is very rarely, I am very anxious about being able to find a public toilet and to access it in time. As a result I have withdrawn from social activities which has had a negative impact on my mental health.
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I only score 2 points on 4 daily living descriptors so I would lose all of my entitlement. I am already struggling to make ends meet regarding eating and putting the heat on in my house so the loss of my PIP would hit me very hard.
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I think that there are very few employers who would be willing to take me on in my situation and with my various health conditions. I'm sure it would be much easier for them to employ a younger, fitter person rather than make accommodations for me.
Anything else to tell us: I can see that some reforms to this country's benefits system are essential for it to carry on working for everyone who needs the help. However, I think changing the points system to comply with PIP descriptors is totally wrong and will have a huge effect on a lot more people than the government are saying.
