Nickname: Misty1 |
Age: 66 |
Main health condition: Physical health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: osteoarthritis, with regular infections and asthma, tuberculosis as child leading to breathing problems as I aproached retirement, now retired, pip originally awarded in 2020 renewed last year for 10 years (so next assesment would have been 2034) with lots of minor problems i only scored 2 points on my descriptors but certainly could not work much in my approach to retirement....although because i want to remain active I am still looking for a part time job with little mobility required. |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: it may be possible but an awful lot can depend on my symptoms on the day |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: on bad days I canot bend or move, my knees are worst affected but my problems cause breathing distress and this can trigger my asthma, sleep apnea is also a problem tried cpap but causes other problems, |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: most of my pip for living component |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: N/A |
Anything else to tell us: JUST THAT IT COULD BE A REAL PROBLEM FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO HAVE HAD REAL PROBLEMS THROUGHOUT LIFE, JUST COMING INTO RETIREMENT WITH LIMITED PENSION AND PIP PROVIDING A SMALL TOPUP SO THAT WE CAN (JUST ABOUT) SURVIVE. |
