Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Moving around in general, I lie down for most of the day to alleviate the pain in my back and knees. I cannot walk around my home without a frame, it can take me 20 minutes to rise from a lying position to standing with my frame. I cannot get to the toilet in time, I cannot wash myself or get in and out of a bath or shower. I cannot climb stairs so sleep on the sofa. I cannot prepare food as I cannot stand or sit for the required time. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: £5,740 a year. The effect would be devastating, I wouldn't be able to even meet bills for my home. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Nobody would employ me as I can't physically do any type of work and due to the clinical depression I've had for the last 25 years, I wouldn't be able to cope mentally in any type of employment., |
Anything else to tell us: If the proposals to cut PIP go ahead, it will affect those who need it and rely on it the most. |
