So here I am ten months from my original PIP claim. Nine months it's taken to be turned down for the mobility component. I have requested the reconsideration but I expect my claim to go to appeal. I was one of the first claimants of ESA and that took 14 months to get to appeal.
Interestingly the grounds for failing my claim are that I walked from the car park to the assessment centre. There is no parking at the assessment centre. How convenient...
There were no grounds given for disallowing my claim from the actual assessment itself.
I worked for more than a quarter of a century including putting myself through university to be treated like this? I'd love a decent one on one with IDS.

We still only have a handful of members that have actually received a result but it looks as if they are applying the Descriptors quite rigidly, it seems they are working to the principle that you should be so unable to mobilise that you can't actually make use of the award in order to get it.
There is a PIP Appeal guide that explains the process in more detail and what you need to do.
