The decision letter has awarded in my favour of standard rate care and mobility, so a double result for me as after my DLA experiences I claimed PIP out of principle really, even though I know I do meet the criteria.
The assessor states in her report that 'you said you are able to walk 15 metres then rest'...............'you walked with your right foot turned in and had a painful gait pattern'.............. 'I have decided you are able to walk between 20 and 50 metres, using an aid.'
Im not sure if Im reading this correctly or is it contradictory.
Would it be worth asking for a reconsideration.
I would like to give a big thanks to all at B & W for all the insight and advice given to me, my hubby with ESA and everyone else who benefits from this site.
Thank you.

Congratulations on the award and thank you for your comments about B&W.
You can challenge the Decision but you need to understand what points you scored, it should be in the Decision letter, Standard rate requires 8 points whereas the Enhanced rate needs 12, so you need to think about where you might get the extra points from, also and just as importantly, how secure is your current award is as both the DWP and a Tribunal panel can look at the whole award from scratch.
If you want to see what is involved then have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide.

I was awarded 10 points mobility and wont be challenging the decision, against all the odds I think Ive been fortunate being awarded what I have so will leave it.
As you rightly say there are a lot of things that could change in the next few years, my award is until Feb 2016 so its an extra income which will be much appreciated to support me stay in full time work if nothing else.
Thanks again.
