Hello

I have been claiming ESA since the change over from JSA, In total I have been claiming for around 10 years and have never had to attend a medical I suppose this is down to the supporting evidence I have sent into ATOS.

My condition is paranoid schizophrenia and I'm in the support group for ESA and receive 15.75 per week because of the disability income guarantee and this is why I have been claiming for so long, multiple relapses and I've been sectioned.

I receive a total of £125.05 per week but I find this hard to live on and I have no mobility but social anxiety and a phobia of public transport.

So I've decided to claim PIP but I haven't got the claim form yet. I want the best possible chance of a good out come and the main reason I'm claiming is my medication is now very high at the top end of what they can prescribe and as a result I am very sedated which limits me to what I can do.

I have some learning difficulties which have never been diagnosed but I got appalling GCSE results and no qualifications. I just took the PIP test and it suggested I may be able to claim higher rate mobility and carers allowance.

I just looked at the guide to claiming PIP but its 83 pages long and I don't know where to start, its very confusing and daunting is there any pages I should read specificity.

Pretty much all of the guide is important, but you can prioritise your reading, so the front section covers making a claim so I would read this now.

The middle section (which is the majority of the document) covers completing the main claim form in detail, so this would be next to read.

The last section covers the assessment process, you can read this once the claim form has been returned.

If you have any specific questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
