PIP was created by Rosskernow
My partner has today received his new claim form even though his PIP does not expire until June 2016. He enquired as to why he has this and was told that PIP claim forms are being dispatched to claimants at least one year before expiry so they don't get behind in processing. Has anyone else got their new claim forms about a year before expiry? Surely this information we set down now could have changed dramatically by the time of renewal?? Is this another catch in this somewhere?

Pretty much everybody with a PIP fixed term award will receive a renewal a year early, if you look through the forum you'll see that many members have already gone through this.
The re-assessment will result in a new Decision on your claim which will be effective from the date it is made, not when your current award ends.
This is a full review of your claim so you need to complete the PIP2 form in detail and provide any relevant evidence that you have available, even if this was submitted as part of your previous assessment.
Please make sure that you use the latest PIP Claim guide as there have been changes to the DWP guidance for PIP.
