Hi,
Welcome to Benefits and Work If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.
This can be done quite easily by following the instructions in this FAQ :
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
You can use all and any evidence that is supportive of your ESA Appeal.
An Award of DLA in itself, may not be helpful with an ESA Appeal.
It depends how and why you were awarded DLA, what Care needs and/or Mobility issues that you suffer, and whether these limitations/needs can be tied in with your qualification for the appropriate ESA Award.
e.g. DLA Mobility tests your ability to
Walk or on whether you are "Virtually Unable to Walk"
ESA "Mobilising" not only assesses you walking ability, it also assesses your ability to self propel a manual wheelchair unaided over the same distance.
This is even if you have never owned, used or being advised to use a manual wheelchair.
May I suggest that you read through the guides on this page, 2nd & 3rd links down :
ESA Claims Guides If you haven't already done so.
