Hi, I have applied for both ESA and PIP and have received a letter with an appointment for an assessment but it doesn't specify which benefit the assessment is for.
The letter is from the Health Assessment and Advisory Service and the assessment will be held at the Centre for Health and Disabilty Assessments. Does anyone know if this is related to ESA or PIP?
Hi The HAAS held at the CHDA is a name used by Maximus who took over the ESA contract from Atos. PIP assessments are done by ATOS (unfortunately) and Capita. So you have an appointment for a Work Capability Assessment. You can find info and advice in our ESA claims guide in the members area.
