Unfortunately there is little that you can do until a Decision is made by the DWP.
DM's tend to follow the advice of the assessor in regard award length, but it's not impossible that one would show common sense.
As the length of the award is part of the Decision it is open to challenge.
You can try writing the DM explaining that you think the assessors recommendation is inappropriate for a progressive illness such as MS, but our experience of members doing this is limited and where they have their letters have not been taken into account.

The DM did show some sense after all! I have been given the Enhanced rate in both areas for an ongoing period. They will contact me again sometime after July 2026!
The whole process has taken 12 weeks from receipt of the initial letter telling me to apply to the final decision.I was expecting it to take a lot longer.
Once again, many thanks for making it less stressful and for the fantastic work you all do here.
