My GP has requested my PIP application Form

I have been on DLA both at high rates and have had doctors assess me from DWP over the years last one in 2012 which I never had a problem with.
Today I received my PIP application Form to fill in so although doing all my research from your excellent site I really needed some professional evidence to back me up etc.
So I phoned my GP surgery this afternoon and spoke to my GP's secretary who said once my PIP application Form has been filled in could I drop it off at the surgery and my GP would deal with it and then I would call back for it etc. So I just wondered if anyone else has come across this as usally I hear you just get a letter etc for evidence.
Thanks again and for been there to help out .

Welcome to Benefits and Work
It sounds as if your GP wants to make a good job of his support. This is very refreshing as more and more GPs are refusing to be involved in the process at all!
Did you use our PIP guide to help you fill in the form?

Then I waited for the brown envelope which arrived yesterday ( which was 2 weeks from receiving the stock letter saying they can now make their decision). I had no f2f and I am very pleased to report that I was awarded enhanced for both and for an on going period but the letter did go on to say they would contact me sometime after 18th July 2026.
I would like to say a special thanks to all at b & w for their excellent guides and moderators who also do excellent job plus not forgetting all members who help others on a Daily basis too which I found very helpful too.

After submitting my pip application Form to my gp he said he couldn't add any more to the form so i sent the form in on its own and I received a stock letter from the dwp stating they now had all the information and reports to make their decision ( this was 3 weeks after I posted the pip application form).
