PIP STOPPED, AFFECT IR ESA SUPPORT GROUP CLAIM? was created by oldtrout
I notified PIP of deterioration of health. Had an Atos home visit - their idea not mine. Got decision today, removed PIP! Obvs I am asking for MR etc. but in the meantime..
I am in ESA SG and my partner was my carer. We also have 2 children receiving DLA/PIP. I am carer for the 18yr old on PIP. My partner has now applied for CA for our youngest.
I used my PIP medical in my original ESA application and was put in contribution based SG. My partner was made redundant, claimed CA for me and was added to my ESA claim which made us IR ESA in SG.
Now i'm worried we will lose ESA aswell, or, I will be put in WRAG in which case it's the same as losing it because I cannot work. Anyone had any experience? Or, any advice??

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I'm sorry that you are going through this, especially as your health is so much worse
DWP cannot simply reduce, or remove, your ESA award, thery would have to go through the reassessment process. We have not seen a PIP refusal trigger an early ESA reassessment so please try not to worry about this.
Further, being placed in the WRAG does not mean that the claimant has to work, or seek work - although the name of the group does suggest that!
Our PIP guide explains the MR process, so please make full use of it
PIP help for claimants
You might wish to favourite/bookmark this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future. This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place - and I hope you will find it useful too
