PIP making sure your award is right

I have just received this new form PIP.1043 it appears straight forward however we all know that that is not usually the case. Does anyone have any advice on completing this please. TIA

I'm afraid I don't recognise the form reference, is this a PIP2? If it is then you should follow the guidance in the PIP Claim guide.

I'm so glad this topic came up! I am struggling to find any information about it, let alone advice for completion of form PIP.1043.

I support a friend, who is severely depressed and unable to do most things for himself, who receives PIP at higher rate for daily living. He has just received this form, PIP.1043, which is for renewal of PIP.

As ever, the integral letter is dated 8 July 2016 with a deadline for return of 8 August 2016... but he only received it on 16 July, so there's a week lost to complete it already.

It appears deceptively simple - as did the PIP claim form to me before I found this site.

After Step 1, the Statement of Consent and Declaration for signature, Step 2 asks 'Please tell us what has changed for you'. The form asks the claimant to think back to when the current award began and to tick boxes 'Easier', 'Harder' or 'No change' for the various headings 'Preparing food' etc. If there is a change, the form asks for details of what has happened, when it happened (from and to) and how things are easier or harder in your life. It says if you answer 'No change' you can move on to the next question without giving details.

I believe it would be most helpful to you to see a copy. I have a scanner and, once having secured my friend's permission, I would be happy to scan the form, delete his personal details, and email a copy to yourselves.

Have obtained friend's permission, blanked out his details, scanned form, uploaded it to my Dropbox account and sent an email attaching an access link to 'office' AT benefitsandwork.co.uk.
