I am nearly 68. A lack of oxygen at birth led to cerebral palsy - I was born 3mths premature.
I coped ok until 1996. Claimed and awarded lifetime high mobility low care for life.
Now have to complete PIP2. To continue claiming.
Anyone got any tips - I have increasingly severe mobility issues and anxiety depression
so would prefer not to have a face to face assessment!
Thanks

I would start by having a look at the PIP Claim guide!

I guess it would depend on how well you know the assessor. If you trust him/her to be unbiased and professional in the way they carry out the assessment, then it is up to you if you want to go ahead (they should have already read your form).
If you feel you would rather not go ahead I, it might be that would involve you being sent away and another appointment made (at my recent PIP face2face there was only 1 person carrying out the assessments). I don't know for sure, but suspect this would count as your 1 allowed postponement.
Whether you get an ATOS or Capita assessor depends entirely on your postcode, I haven't heard that there are any significant differences in the way things are done.
