PIP form deadline falls on a Sunday was created by beans2308
My official PIP deadline falls on a Sunday (11th September). By rights, am I entitled to have Monday 12th September as the new deadline date as there will be nobody in the DWP offices to receive my pack on a Sunday?

Or will I have to get it in by Friday 9th September? It would be really beneficial for me to have the 12th as the last possible day it can arrive as I'm already struggling to apply myself to it. If I have to essentially finish it on the afternoon of Thursday 8th September to ensure I catch Special Delivery (so that's its delivered on Friday 9th) I will be at a considerable disadvantage. Those few extra hours will make all the difference.

This deadline is already an extension so I cannot ask for another.

Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid you will need to get the form to DWP on the Friday at the latest.

Oh that's really unfortunate. Thank you Mrs Hurtyback.

I sent in my Capability For Work Questionnaire less than two months ago and I also added several pages of extra detail to give the DWP a clear picture of my health issues.

I am yet to receive a response as to whether my claim for ESA has been successful but how can I possibly not be repeating myself when I fill in the PIP form? Obviously they are two different benefits but they're essentially asking the same thing: i.e. what health conditions do I have and how do they affect me my day-to-day life?

Am I putting myself at a disadvantage by mirroring the same replies I gave for my Capability For Work Questionnaire. It's going to be extremely difficult not to (especially as the detail I gave is so fresh in my mind and my health conditions have barely changed during this short period.

If you place the ESA and PIP Claim guides side by side, although the activities appear to be similar in many areas, you will see that the criteria are in fact different for each benefit, there are also activities that are unique to each benefit.

I'm afraid you cannot use your ESA answer on your PIP2 form and have any real hope of am award. You must explain your limitations in regard to the specific PIP criteria.
