Pip, walking and variability was created by jack
If someone has a variable ability to walk, should they always tick the "it varies" box on the pip2 form or if they think for the large part of the time it fits into one of the other boxes, should they tick that box. Or, should they tick both? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Have a look at the PIP Claim in relation to "reliably" and "on the majority of days". You should indicate the distance you can walk reliably on the majority of days.
If you don't think the tick boxes for this or any other question allow you to explain your problems then mark then "see below" and explain the comments box or attached sheets, just be careful to make sure you still answer the question.

Have a look at the PIP Claim in relation to "reliably" and "on the majority of days". You should indicate the distance you can walk reliably on the majority of days.

Thanks Gordon, I've decided which box I would tick on the basis of reliability and majority of days I just don't know whether I need to tick the it varies box as well. I will put a lot of detailed information regarding my condition and I be providing a lot of medical evidence as well. On the basis that it is the worst point of the day and the majority of days that counts, is it necessary to describe good and average or just the worst points.? Thanks

So if the distance you have picked is one you are limited to as a maximum 100% of the time even though some of the time your are more limited, then I don't think you need to tick it varies, however, if the distance is how your are the majority of the time then you should and explain what the distances and percentages are for when better, the majority and worse.
