Requesting PIP report. was created by Totty
Hi,
I had my PIP home visit 2 weeks ago ( didn't actually request home ). The assessor was pleasant and asked general questions on most descriptors.
It was only afterwards that I realised we didn't reiterate the points we had sweated over to include in the pip application - too weary of the whole process over the last two months! He didn't ask to see any of the aids or check rooms either,I'm now concerned that I should have offered to show but no point worrying now.
My question is, is it too early to request the written assessors report now. He said that my result will be 4 to 6 weeks although I havent had a 'we have everything we need' notification. Many thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
PIP assessors do not look around the claimants home (this was often done for a DLA assessment) and they normally take the word of the claimant as to what aids and appliances they use, so there is no need for them to see these.
Not discussing the issues you raised in the claim form doesn't mean that there is an issue, they may have accepted what you said and did not feel there was a need to investigate further.
You should be able to request a copy of the report now, just phone or write to the DWP office managing your claim, there should be no problem with them providing a copy, it normally takes 7-10 days to arrive.
