HI,

Thank you

You should but may not. The DWP see going to an unfamiliar place as being a question of navigation and therefore that this is an issue of cognition or sensory deprivation and not a mental health related problem. You will need to show that your anxiety causes cognitive issues that would prevent your being able to navigate, this might also have relevance to some of the Daily Living activities, for example; preparing food.

All you can do is argue your case and see what happens.

Hi Gordon,

Thank yu for your speedy and concise reply.

I have told them on the preparing food question, besides my physical limitations I find it impossibly hard to plan a meal, i cant get timings or order of things straight in my head, just get confused, which leads to frustration, anger and anxiety. Is this relevant?

Yes this is the sort of thing that I am talking about, you need to look at areas of overlap in the PIP activities so you present a consistent picture of your limitations.

Hi,

I noticed something that you wrote Gordon in response to another post ' you wrote 'Be aware some of the Descriptors have multiple elements and you need to meet all of them to score points. I am very confused about this ( maybe its because mine and hubbies brain's and bodies) are totally exhausted completing the PIP form. I thought, once you have tick the appropriate box, you go on to explain why you ticked a particular box, and hopefully met one of the descriptors to score points..............didnt know i would have to meet them all.

Apologies if i sound totally stupid, I am so tired and anxious, so maybe i havent read you correctly.......totally confused with it all Im afraid.
