One thing I have thought about is cutting off the doctors letter st the point that it stops being useful information, but it would be blanking out a load of things.

You can't "edit" the letter, either you use it whole or you don't use it.

Unfortunately most GP's see providing letters for benefit claims as unnecessary waste of their time, there's nothing you can realistically do about this.

Isn't a GP it's a Consultants at the mental health centre. And this is crazy, I'm sure the £600hr Consultants have no issue writing descriptive letters. Surely he didn't think writing a letter describing how I was continuing to look for jobs (when on JSA at the time) was going to be good?
