The form will be administratively processed quite quickly, but there is considerable variation in the wait for an assessment across the country, from as little as a few weeks, to months, to more than six months in some areas.

I have the Drs letter but is it ok to take on the day or will sending it off first be better as Iv heard sometimes the letter doesn't even get looked at?? In terms of evidence apart from the form I sent and myself (and the person coming with me) that is it. Have read your guide, do all of those questions get asked? Some of the things as with the form are not black and white in that way?

If you think that the GP letter might allow them to do a paper assessment then send it now, otherwise take it on the day and ask the assessor to read it and include it in your file before they start the interview.
You can request a copy of the assessment report a couple of days after the assessment.
Decision are taking about 2-4 weeks.
