Hi Taylor2 and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work The home assessment will follow much the same format as one held in an assessment centre. Our PIP guide explains what to expect.
PIP help for claimants It is up to you to decide which room the assessment is held in and who is with you. You don't need to make any special preparations - you don't even need to get out of bed if you don't want to!
The assessor will have no more rights than any other visitor to your home. They do not have the right to 'snoop' around your house - to be fair, we have never heard of anyone asking/trying to do this.
A word of warning - the assessors have been known to turn up early, on time, late - or not at all!
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
