ESA Review Well Overdue was created by Dalglish60
After 3 cancelled ESA medical appointments by ATOS in June 2013 and then getting an appointment on 29th July 2013 turning up and being told my case had already been decided by a paper decision, I was told I'd been put in the ESA Support Group for 2 years. So my review date would be around 29th July 2015.
It's now extended 16/17 months past my review date of 29th July 2015 and no communication from them at all.
I am aware of the heavy backlog and delays mentioned on this forum.
I am not comfortable speaking to the DWP by phone and do not have anyone to make the call for me to see what my status is in terms of my ESA SG review.
Given the length of time of my receipt of ESA, is it the case that the DWP could be preparing me for transfer to Universal Credit.
As I say I have no clue what's going on and it's absolutely impacting on my mental health worrying about having to complete all the confusing ESA forms and possible UC forms and whatever UC actually is. I just dread every morning the postman delivering the brown envelopes and all the extreme anxiety it generates.
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions/answers.

Hi ngu,
I am not aware of any areas that are starting to move claimants from ESA to UC.
If you do not feel you can contact DWP to ask what is going on, I cannot think of any other way you can find out ahead of time when to expect reassessment.

Nevergiveup
Transfers from ESA to UC will not start for several years at best and possibly a lot longer.

Im in the same postion nevergiveup so i can understand your anxiety. I was moved from IB to ESA sg in 2012 since then nothing so you are not alone. I to cant stand the thought of contacting them. I have recently got my invitation to move from DLA to PIP so i double dread the post now as doing the eas as well is daunting to say the least.
Try (easier said than done i know) not to worry and take a break from thinking about over Christmas time at least.
All the very best to you.
