My PIP Claim

I rang the PIP this morning to find out the progess of my claim. It was sent back 4 weeks ago. The guy i spoke to who was very helpful said that my clam is with the health care professional and i would be asked to go for an assessment and that i should hear shortly.
My question is can the need for a face to face assessment be seen by the person i spoke to or is it possible that my claim hasnt been looked at yet.
I do wish i hadnt rang now as the thought of a ftf feels me with anxiety.
So many thanks for all the help and support on here

Yes, decisions about whether a face to face are required are made as soon as they receive your papers.

Thank you
There's a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
