Face to face was created by ken
Well I have just returned from my face to face, everything seemed to run ok I was in aprox 1 1/2 hours and at the end she said and I quote "I will recommend that you will not need to be seen for another 3 years" As I am over the age to claim PIP but am currently on DLA she would have known that if I was refused PIP I could not make another claim, so why did she say that, was it just to ease my mind?
How long after a face to face can you expect to get a result, she said 5 to 6 weeks, how long after a face to face can you expect to get a copy of the report.
I am now on tenterhooks till the brown envelope drops through the door.
One other thing she seemed to omit things and said they were not on the form she had in front of her but when I got back home I checked a copy of the PIP2 form and they were most certainly included in it, she also refused to accept a medical report that i had just obtained from a urologist so it was a good thing that I sent a copy to the DWP.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Ken
We are seeing Decision in about 4-5 weeks.
You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report next week by contacting the DWP offices dealing with your claim.
I can't really comment on the things she omitted at the assessment, there are multiple reasons why this may have happened, some good some bad.

Hi Gordon
One thing, we are going away( a necessity, cannot be put off or avoided) in May, if for any reason I have not had the award letter and it comes when we are away, and it (god forbid) is not in my favour, how long have you got to make a mandatory reconsideration request. We expect to be away for aprox 3 weeks

Hi Ken,
You will have 4 weeks (from the date on the decision letter) in which to get an MR request submitted to DWP in order for it to be accepted without question.
You actually have up to 13 months to ask for MR if you can show 'good reason' for the delay. However, this is totally up to DWP to decide and is not open to appeal if they refuse.

Hi all
Well I haven't had the decision letter yet but what I do have is the HCP report, what they have put on there is I hope what I think, if they have ticked a certain descriptor for a certain question does it mean that in their opinion you should be awarded the points associated with that descriptor?

Yes the assessor makes a recommendation on the points to award, Decision Makers usually follow this unless they believe that the recommendation does not follow the law or is at odds with the evidence available.
