Today I received a letter stating my PIp assessment will be conducted at home I had filled in the Award Review form but did not request a home visit Is this normal?

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
It is typical of the Assessment Providers make claimants who want home assessments beg for them, then give them when they have not been requested! Don't worry about it, it means they have accepted that you have a significant degree of impairment.
A home assessment follows the same format as one help anywhere else. Our PIP guide explains what to expect.
PIP help for claimants
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
