Twelve months ago my wife and I moved house. I am 70% War Pension disabled, War Pension Umsupp, get lower rate DLA and ESA SG (Contributions only) which finishes next February on my 65th birthday. When I informed DWP of my change of address they wanted to know, was I a private tenant or a Housing Association/Council Tenant, was I receiving HB and Council Tax Benefit also what other benefits I was on. Also was my wife in receipt of any benefits. I curtly replied she was not as she has just retired after 40 years as a Staff Nurse. Sounds to me as though DWP etc are getting very intrusive. Has any one else had this experience?
