ESA Reassessment - oh dear! was created by Fiona
I know there have been some questions and info over the last couple of newsletters about ESA reassessments, so just thought I'd pass on my latest installment.
I'm currently in the Support Group having been placed there last June following a wait of approx 2 years for my assessment. In the post today I received the dreaded ESA50 form from Maximus which obviously means reassessment. As my condition is chronic and degenerative I had assumed that I came under the 'not being retested' group announced with such fanfare last autumn. I am therefore hugely disappointed as I'm sure members can understand. I can only hope they take as long to arrange an appointment as they did last time!
On the positive side, I suppose at least I've got a better idea of how to fill in the form, provide relevant info and deal with the whole thing than I did first time round. This of course is largely due to Benefits and Work - much thanks.
Finally, just to say good luck to everybody and don't let them grind you down!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Yes, there was rather a fanfare about certain people not being reassessed. However, nothing more has been done about this and reassessments continue as before for all claimants.

Thanks Mrs Hurtyback - I somehow thought that might be the case
I'll let you know how I get on as and when the dreaded day arrives...
