Can you help me with my APPEAL please?

I phoned PIP for a mandatory reconsideration on my mobility and got a reply (a letter) before I had a chance to get my letter sent from the doctor (psychiatrist)!

So I phoned up again and they said they would make a second 'reconsideration' if I send my evidence in. (Which I did).

I received a letter from the office manager saying 'I have considered your medical evidence but the evidence does not change the outcome of the decision.'

That's the first problem...

The second problem I'm having is,

It says on my second reconsideration (from the office manager) that I have 'from one month of the decision letter' to appeal.

Which was late February-I didn't send my doctors letter until middle March, so my mum phoned up and they said I have to put in an SSCS1 (for late appeal).

All help and advice appreciated,

PIP

It is the date of the MR letter not the Decision letter.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
