Hi there.

I successfully appealed my ESA being cancelled and was awarded the higher rate, which was great, even if it took 10 weeks of no money for them to change their minds!

So I have my appeal for PIP in 3 weeks time, and was wondering whether I should send details of the ESA being appealed to the judge?

Would it add weight to my case or be simply irrelevant.

Any thoughts much appreciated.
Also would I be expected to wear a suit if possible?
I have to say I am dreading this as the whole process has been utterly miserable. I hope the appeal will be impartial as I have no confidence in the DWP or their affiliated partners.

You can certainly use the ESA award as evidence but you will need to show it's applicability to your PIP claim, although there are some areas of crossover, the criteria for the two benefits are still different.
