Hi Since my migration from flat to pip ( march this year) I had to go to appeal I was awarded pip mobility component low rate and care at enhanced rate. When I had dla I had high rate mobility. The result of this is I lost my mobility car. This has been a big change. A very negative effect on my independence . I've recently got a letter from my rheumatologist stating that my condition has got worse as has the pain and exhaustion of both my rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. I have also been diagnosed with severe emphysema affecting my mobility more. What should I do about this. Should I let the dss know of the changes to my health in the hope that they award me the other 2 points? I'm really unsure as to what I should do.
I'm afraid the Appeal panel cannot take into account any deterioration in your conditions that have occurred since the date of the Decision being appealed.
If you report the change to the DWP, then they will start a reassessment of your claim, a new form and almost certainly a face to face appointment.
