PIP - Conventional Cooker was created by Jay
Hi everyone, 1st time I have posted I think although I joined a while ago. I have been battling with PIP stress for it seems like forever.

I just got decision letter which said I do not quality for PIP.

My question is has the DWP dropped the 2 points for not being able to use a conventional cooker?

Its not mentioned in my decision letter, it just says 2 points for preparing food because I used aids, there is no mention of not being able to use a conventional cooker, it is mentioned in the pip form and I note it is listed on your points pages dated March 2017.

The extra 2 points would give me standard rate on daily living.

I am not sure if I request the extra 2 points for not being able to use a conventional cooker they are going to turn round and say points for that is not included any more.

Can someone advise please?

Many thanks.

I have to send the reconsideration letter back this week latest.

There have been no changes to the Preparing food activity, you can score 2 points for;

c. Cannot cook a simple meal using a conventional cooker but is able to do so using a microwave.

By conventional cooker they mean the hob only, the usage of an oven, even at eye level is not considered.
