Questions about transitory protection to UC

If in receipt of higher rates for PIP and in the Support Group of ESA,
will DWP notify of the transfer? Will there be forms to fill in? Or is the
transfer done automatically? Or should I apply now?
Also read that some are loosing up to £78.50 per week, why is this?
Will the severe disability premium be removed once on UC?
Thank you

Existing ESA claimants will not be transferred to UC before 2019 but we will have to wait until the Transfer legislation is put into law to see how this will be done.

Transferred claimants will receive Transitional Protection.

There is no Severe Disability Premium under UC.

Thank you Gordon. How long does the "transitional" period lasts? Unable to find this info.

As I said, we will have to wait for the Transfer Legislation to be put into law.
