Hi, it was my understanding that the Scottish government (back in April 2017) were going to stop private companies (e.g. Atos/Independant Assessment Services) from carrying out medicals in Scotland. I thought this was great news until I received my face-to-face assessment letter for PIP that stated IAS/Atos will be assessing me.
I would have thought it would have been sorted out by now?

Best ask your MSP why it's taking so long as they certainly don't appear to be in any hurry.

It hasn't started yet. There is still a consultation going on. Over 2,000 people are involved in the consultation (I am one of them) as the Scottish Gov want to get this right. I don't know when they actually take over DLA/PIP claims. The Scottish Social Security Agency is in the process of being set up.
