Hello fellow strugglers.

I joined here too late for help with my PIP reassessment and got standard for both. I have submitted a MR with the help of your guides and getting my appeal ready just in case.

I read somewhere here that I could get my next ESA reassessment date by phoning DWP and when I did, I discovered it had been extended for 2 years and not due until 2019. That has taken away a little of the stress...

I already consider my subscription fee as being a wise investment! I'm full of fight and feel like the guides have given me renewed strength. (Knowledge is power) Looking forward to my tribunal.

Thank you!

Hi.

Does anyone know how long it takes for a PIP mandatory reconsideration at the moment?
I'm in the North East.

Thank you.

I'm afraid we do not have any reliable regional information.

We would expect an MR to take 5-8 weeks, they can be quicker and they can certainly be longer.

Thanks Gordon.

I phoned the PIP Enquiry line today and was told not to expect any news until after Christmas. So your estimate seems correct as 8+ weeks. At least I have my appeal typed up and ready now.

I'll let you know when there's any further news.

Thanks again for all that you and the other moderators do on here!

I phoned the enquiry line again to check on the progress of my MR. I was told the DM is awaiting information from the HP assessor.

What further info could they ask for after the MR has been lodged?

Sorry, Gordon, I'm just at a loss as to what they could get back to the assessor to ask for...

Any info, or guesses, gladly received.

The most likely reason is a discrepancy between the report and your own evidence which the DM, who is not medically trained, is unable to reconcile, so they have asked the assessor to explain in more detail.
